time away

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to go with my mom and Addy to SLC. It was fun at the time but it is even more fun now, looking back.
Addy planned the whole deal. She fixed us up with a hotel; not a nice hotel, not a hotel that was close to anything but a hotel none the less. Probably she won't book with price-line again. No I'm kidding, a little; it was fine and if we ever could have gotten off the right exit (like even one time) it would have ended up being in a pretty convenient location. O well, we are all a little smarter now. We ate good food and shopped, then my mom treated us to massages that were totally awesome, and we shopped and ate some more.
It was so much fun...  It was fun to have a chance to miss my babies (thanks to Alyson who watched them for me). It was fun to have a reason to do my hair three consecutive days in a row. And it was fun just to visit!
O and another totally awesome part. The morning I was leaving Dean came in and told me an old neighbor of ours was coming to pick up a truck bed. (Dean had taken it off one of his work trucks to replace it with a flatbed). I knew this guy wouldn't take anything unless he was making money on it. So I asked Dean if I could have it instead, he laughed at me when I told him I was going to sell it. No lie- 14 minutes later I had it sold. Not only sold, but sold for $500!!!  I looked on KSL and found a guy that was advertising a bunch or them. I figured if he was selling a bunch he must buy them from somewhere and it might as well be me. So I called him up, text him some pictures, and delivered it on the way to my moms. It paid for the Christmas shopping I did. Totally Awesome!
