WEEK 2.5

We went to Josie's two week appointment and heard good news... she is 5 lbs 13 oz and 19.5 inches. I'm a happy mom! Dean came to the Dr. with us and we were both very happy to have his company. He got lucky because while we were in town the saddle maker called and said his saddle was done. He was so excited. It was a win win for all of us.

Every baby needs to have a least one of these pictures, right?

Here is Dean's two new toys...

When your the mom its okay to take a lot of pictures that seem to be the exact same but are just a little different.

We went down to the barn to put Dean's new saddle on a horse. Good news he loves it and I got to ride for the first time in ten months, maybe not a good idea but it was fun for me. Josie had a great time sleeping in the truck.

New Hats

Thanks to Aunt Karla we have two new hats. Josie wears hats to bed I'm not so sure that it is really necessary but you really never know what the temperature is going to be at my house. And people say you do crazy things when your the mom, it is so true!!!

Don't worry she doesn't sleep with the flower at night.

ouR fiRsT WeEk

We have successfully made it one week. I have truly enjoyed being Josie's mom. I really do love her and though everything everyone told me about having a baby is true I have still enjoyed it. She is a pleasant baby and has started spending a lot more time awake. Her dad still loves to be with her and that has been fun for me to watch. She still doesn't fit in any of her clothes but we are working on some serious weight gain. She had a little Jaundice the first few days but with some tanning she defeated it without having to get Billie lights.
