the first branding of the year

Trig was so excited to brand. He was even more excited when he spotted a hole in the trap where babies where getting out and went to the rescue without being told, he did great.
Josie got in the action a little while quincy sat in the truck and ate Doritos.
Even cowboys have a melt down once in a while. He was sad Josie got to brand a cow before him.
Giving his best mount a pat on the head before he was off to throw rocks in the river.
Trig was on self assigned gate duty until he realize there wasn't much traffic going in or out
He was determined to get on his horse himself but wasn't successful

Quincer Noodle turns 2

This little Turkey is so fun to have around, she is happy for the most part but can turn on a dime (she has her daddy temperament). She likes things to go her way and she is deathly afraid of dogs, all dogs. She loves hats and dressing herself, she teases and giggles and skips when she runs, I love it! She screams oh how she screams, she screams when she is sad, or happy, or excited, or mad and its loud and high pitched. She mostly gets what she wants so we don't have to hear the screaming, she is spoiled but she is so darn cute its hard not to give her what she wants when she wrinkles her nose and lifts her shoulders. I have started trying to be more strict with her and give her a few jobs, I kid you not every time I ask her to do something she says NO and then I say "do you want a spank", and she shrugs her shoulders, lets out a long ugghh and does what I ask. She is too young to start that, but it makes me laugh every time. We really really love her and wish she would stay this age forever.
On Quincy's actual birthday we didn't really celebrate so I sang her Happy Birthday in the tub and put her to bed. I think she loved it!
The following Monday we had donuts, sang and let her blow out the candle 5 times. Then we loaded up and went swimming.

Then I finally gave her a present Tuesday because we got home late from swimming. She was so excited to play with the Little People she didn't even mind that they were used. Dean took the other kids to work so she had a solid hour that she could play with no interruptions, she loved it.

Some of April

Quincy talking to Siri. I guess she sees me do this too much.
Dean asked me to make some videos of the horses working that they are taking to a horse sale, I was impressed with how well those babies performed.
I love finding 'Selfies' Josie takes, she is so funny.
Sisters are best for brushing hair.
This Super Hero joined us for dinner.
Sometimes you just watch a show in a laundry basket with your baby.
I used all the pickles on Dean's tuna sandwich and Josie was so sad there weren't any pickles left for her. She asked if she could just drink the juice with a straw.

Trig Turns 4

This guy turned 4. He is really growing up, he had kind of lost his baby face and is very independent. I really love him but he is mean, he is a hitter and a bully. I looked outside this morning and he was chasing with girls with a hot dog roasting stick. He is bigger and taller than Josie (it really really bothers her) and he uses it to his advantage. I have been trying really hard to be tender and teach him tender things but I don't feel like they are sinking in at all. This boy is hilarious always pulling faces and telling jokes. He LOVES his bike, wrestling, being outside, tools, working with his dad, basketball and swimming.
Trig got to open his first present from grandma Sharon a little early because they were leaving on their mission. He was so excited to finally have some real pirate toys.
He was so much fun making his birthday cake. He loved stirring and adding ingredients
The boy will not make a normal face for a picture no matter the bribe
after a lot of pleading and begging he finally let Josie help a little with the cake.
Later he was so excited to show his dad the finished product before we opened presents.
again with the crazy faces.
I told them for the birthday party we would play don't touch the ground with balloons that seemed to keep them busy for a while. We had to have cake one day early because Dean was going out of town. So Trig wouldn't accept that Tuesday was his actual birthday but we still had pizza at the park and walked through the Willow Park Zoo. On the way home we stopped for slurpies and that was pretty much the most exciting thing they have ever done in their life to date.
