November is busy

I'm going to have to remember that November is busy. In my mind Dean was going to start slowing down after he weaned the babies in October but it actually got crazy busy. He has been working long days all month. He is really really good to take the kids along even though everything takes a little bit longer. He has been building a feed lot, fencing, shipping calves, pregging cows, feeding, moving and gathering cows, branding registered cows, buying new cows and selling open cows. Its been crazy but he loves it, we have had all kinds of weather too, one week its snowing, the next its 55 degrees and the next its below zero. I guess thats the new normal for November. 

Dean sent me this picture of Trig driving the truck while he fed hay off the back. Trig was so excited and I got after Dean for letting him drive but he didn't care.

Thanksgiving 2014

Thanksgiving this year was at my moms, we had a full house. We made sock snowmen, look at all those cute faces.

 We took the kids to the light parade in Preston and Josie noticed they had two Santa's in the parade, nice work Preston, nice work.

Binkies

Quincy was getting really ornery. I tried to never let her have her binki out side of her crib or her car seat but it seemed like she was always crying for it. She woke up a lot in the night trying to find it and I decided it was way more work than it was worth so I decided to cut it off. Is was like she new what was happening. I got all the binkies out of her drawer and the scissors and she started crying. I thought she would think it was cool it I let her play with the scissors but she wouldn't even play with them. After I cut them off she wouldn't even put them back in her mouth she new they were ruined and it was over. She cried a little at night but I just gave her a sippy cup of water and she really did fine. 

Christmas the horse

Casey found a horse on KSL and we went to Soda Springs to pick it up. We took it home to try out because it was way too cold to ride outside. This horse is old but has a lot of go, maybe too much. She has a really soft mouth and responds well to the kids. Josie named her Christmas, I told her that would be a confusing name but she wasn't changing her mind. The next morning I asked Josie if she wanted to ride Christmas and she was really confused she didn't know what I was talking about. I explained to her I was talking about the horse and if she was confused it would really confuse other people so she decided she would change her name to "Christmas the horse".

My Babies

 Josie has been loving her beads like making 2 of these things a day for the past two weeks. I love that she makes them perfectly symmetrical!
The other night we were driving home from Grace and I got pulled over for having a headlight out. Josie was bouncing around with excitement, She was so happy to be pulled over by a real cop for her very first time.

Trig has been working on his letter and learning to write his name, I just love everything about it. 

He was also very proud of himself for building his first gun ALL by himself out of legos. 

Quincy is so chubby and funny I just squish her constantly. She is finally starting to talk a little. She says; dog, shoe, mom, dad, hot dog, Dumbo. 

She wants to do everything the old two do. I mean everything, she was devastated when I wouldn't let her play in the snow with them but she watched from the window.

30!

Dean was turning 30 and I was determined to make his Birthday great, but it just didn't work out that way. I had been looking for bed rolls for his birthday but he bought one before I could. So I wanted to get him something else fun but he bought himself and new gun so a gift from me was pretty much never going to be better. I planned a date with our friends to dinner and bowling and that was a really fun night. The day of his actual birthday I was in such a bad mood, nothing was working out and so we settled for root beer floats and cupcakes. He didn't seem to mind, I guess 30 isn't all its cracked up to be?

Josie and Trig got up high so Quincy wouldn't get their toys. Quincy was crying and I said, "guys she feels bad, she wants to play with you". Without even looking up Josie said, "life is hard, we all have to do hard things", at the same time Trig was saying, "well if life was fair we would all be fairies". Sometimes my parenting comes back to bite me. 

Grandma Sharon

Grandma Sharon Came to visit for a couple days. We sure love having visitors.

Riverdale Hot Pots

We took the kids to dinner in Preston and the hot pots for Family Home Evening. We had a nice time until we were driving home and all three kids were all crying or complaining. That put Dean and I in a bad mood pretty quick. Family fun is exhausting and doesn't always turn out like I planned it in my mind.
