My Little Monkeys

Josie was jumping on my bed singing. Quincy was loving it and kept clapping her hands and giggling. She started out singing the song from Frozen and then started singing 5 Little Monkey's. She said mom you be the doctor okay? then continues signing and stops and says 'ring' 'ring' Mom pick up the phone. I answer, "Hi this is the Dr." and she tells me about her monkey's and I tell her to have them stop jumping on the bed. You know the drill. We repeat this word for word all 5 times until there were no more monkeys. While this was going on I thought to myself that it was getting annoying but then I quickly remembered that she is only little for a short time so I played along through the whole song. Next she says, "Okay mom now you be the mother and I'll be the doctor. So I play along...
Me: Ring Ring
Josie: Hello
Me: My baby monkey was jumping on the bed and fell off and broke his head.
Josie: Oh okay I'll bring you 5 band aids so you don't have to call me any more.
...She is a way smarter doctor than Ill ever be

Roping

The kids and I went to the barn to watch Dean rope. It was nice and warm.
Josie had her first run away. She handled it really well. Sara took off across the field and Josie just held on tight. When she finally got her turned around and I caught up to her she asked me why Sara did that. I told her that Sara didn't know where she was supposed to go and Josie was holding on so tight that she couldn't tell Sara to stop or turn. So Josie then asked me, "Mom can people hug horses"? I told her sure and when she did I heard her tell Sara, "its okay you didn't know huh Sara, you didn't know".
She held on all through the little run away but she did fall off a little later when she leaned to far off to reach down to turn Sara. I told her that one was all her fault so she didn't cry and got right back on.
Leann roped for the first time out of the shoot... you can kind of tell how that went
Quincy sat content for a long time soaking up the sun. It worked out really nice that her legs got caught in the chair so she couldn't move!
Trig really really wanted to rope a real cow like dad. Dean let him hold the rope while it was around the cows neck in the shoot but he will have to settle for roping the dog until he is a little older.
She is obviously not a real hard target to catch, just a confidence booster.

11 Months

Quincy is 11 months. She finally got over a three month long ear infection (we avoided tubes just because the weather is getting better). She is back to being a happy lady and we sure do love her around here.
Josie thought I gave Quincy pizza because she turned 11 months but I really just gave her some to buy myself so time while feeding the rest of the family; either way Quinc was pleased!

my little people

All my babies are in fun stages right now.

This one is constantly tying things up. Which usually consists of wrapping his rope around its self many times with no actual knot but its still real work to him and it makes me smile every time.
They are just figuring our Super Heroes and Powers, also very funny.
Probably inappropriate but I walked by him in the bathroom one day and had to stop and take a picture. I don't ever want to forget him at this age.
Just a normal day playing pretend.
I started cleaning up the kids room and found Woody (Trigs favorite guy) all tied up. I love great finds like this.
Trig clean up that mess, "Mom I was just trying to find me team shirt so I could play basketball team". He is really into basketball and teams and baseball and sports and he uses a bunch of sport words in the wrong context and I always smile.
Feeding with dad. I tried to take a picture of the kids and the dog ran by and in true Quincy fashion she went into hysterics. She is so scared of dogs.
Trig was teasing Josie and I pointed to the corner and told him he needed to take a time out. He walked over and said, "O man, I barley fit in this one".
Quincy is still a little to young but for the most part is in a big girl car seat and she LOVES it and so do I. Happy baby, happy drive.
Taking a little rest on the pop at Target!
Josie loves taking pictures, pictures of everything but mostly herself. One day she was taking pictures and she said, "mom lets take a picture how rawr-el does with me". Apparently Laurel has a lot of selfies of her and Josie.
This little guy loves going with his dad all day every day and though it takes twice as long Dean is really good to take him.
I gave Quincy some smoothie and she got a brain freeze, it was hilarious.
Grandpa Fox sent Trig home with some ham and he saddled up to th table and ate the entire plate, it was unreal.
Almost every night after dinner we all go with Dean to check cows.
When this little girl enters the room the kids are playing in the both scream and yell until I come get her because she is always wrecking their toys.

Plain City Stay

Between the funeral and the baby blessing the kids and I stayed in Utah. Dean wasn't to happy about it, he never is but I really wanted to stay and enjoy the sunshine. As luck would have it, it rained the every single day I was there. While I was there I made this roping dummy for Trig and Dean to play with in the house. I mostly made it because Dean told me I wouldn't and my dad told me I couldn't; but here it is folks and they love it.
I snapped this one morning when my mom was at the gym and I couldn't find the kiddos  because they had crawled into bed with Quinc.
While I was getting Quincy ready for bed I heard Trig say, "Grandpa will you come down stairs and wrestle me"?
I love this of all the half asleep kids watching cartoons.
I also did this girls hair a couple times. Its official, her last formal high school dance.

Baby Max's Special Day

I feel like Max and I bonded this weekend. I really like him, and for the first time he smiled at me, like a real big boy smile. He looked so handsome on his blessing day and he seemed to be pretty content, he must have known everyone was there to see him.
