5 months

September 21st I took this boy to the Doctor for his 4 month appointment even though that very day he happened to be 5 months. He weighed 16.3 - 50% and was in the 90% for his height. He is so happy. He is doing really well in the car and is eating good. He is still on Nutramagen and I haven't started solids yet contrary to the doctors orders. He is a drooler but has been throwing up a lot less. He takes little cat naps but I'm trying to fix that and get him on a schedule. He lights up every time he hears Josie's voice so I guess he has forgivin her for using him as a stool and riding him like a horse several times a day.

This is how we spent our Sunday afternoon!

We are so excited that Jenna is having another baby, Kason is so adorable and will be a great big brother; he thinks he is going to have a sister.
There was a lot a visiting and Trig took a little nap.
Josie played with Janale's stroller from when she was little.
Jose (Fox's foreign exchange student from Ecuador) tended Josie and Kason on the power wheels for a long time. Later Josie helped herself to a peeko.
This is what kind of aunt Leann is- earlier that day she gave Josie a coke.
Poor Craig asked to be pushed in the swing but instead he got tortured.
This was a very intense game of 500 look at TJ in each picture.

We visited granpa Virg this weekend. He is always so sweet, he was doing really well; missing grandma but being very positive. He love to talk to Dean about ranching and is always trying to win Josie's heart!
Next we went to see Nana. She had a little heart attack and was in the hospital for a few days. She is such a strong woman, she is home now and doing really well considering. We also went to see Grandma Great but we didn't get a picture of that.

Just so it goes down in history

The other night Dean and I were talking about tetherball I'm not quite sure what brought it up but he asked me the rules. I then told him how I was pretty sure if there was a tetherball Olympics I would win and in true Dean fashion he said he could beat me any time. We went to Utah for various reasons but this weekend I was able to defend myself. I beat him 6 games in a row (we only played 6 games, he never won). Casey was a spectator for the last game and then just to make sure he knew how good I was I beat him in a game also.
Next Casey and Dean played, after 15 minutes and neither one was ahead they quit and decided they were at equal skill level (which is obviously quite a few notches under my skill level - just saying).
Look at the two cute babies in the background!

When Josie doesn't want to go something (like eat breakfast) she pretneds to be asleep.

That corn is not cooked...

and Dean let her eat two ears!

P.S. we got another new puppy. I'm not even counting anymore we have been through so many! Welcome to the ranch Tess I sure hope you live but honestly you odds really are not good.

Really a proud moment

Josie was so proud of herself for giving little brother a hat. She clapped and smiled and would not let me take the medicine cup off his head. I don't think he minded at all.
Casey and his family came to stay for a couple of days. Casey had to do some concrete work and my mom wanted pictures of it. I sent the camera down with Taylor so she could take some and this is what I got from the little photographer...
Josie had a good time playing with her cousins. Its fun to see her have someone to follow around. We fixed the basement up enough they could sleep down there.
It takes a lot of pretending to get this girl to eat. We pretend to make the food, and then to feed the baby, and then sweep the floor; and about 50% of the time I can trick her into eating a full meal.

When the girl is in charge

I ran outside for one minute and came back to this. I'm not sure what else Josie did to the poor guy but he sure looks scared. I love that his ear is folded up; I'm sure glad he didn't loose an eye.

Addy and her kids came to stay with us for a few days. I love to have company and I think Dean likes it too, (I call and bug him far less during the day when I have friends over). We had 5 kids under 5, one for each year (Trig 0 - Koen 1 - Josie 2 - Krey 3 - Rio -4) it was fun to watch them all interact.
I was talking to my brother on the phone and told him that I needed to go- the kids were making a mess. He told me that it didn't matter I could just take a picture and put it on my blog because that makes it funny instead of frustrating. So I did. While I was on the phone the kids ate a 1/2 bag of potato chips and Krey smashed most of his with his forehead! We made messes and cleaned them up, and did it all over again for three days. And I'm pretty sure everybody had a great time!
