My boy is 2

I have loved watching this little boy turn into a kid but now I want him to stay this age forever. He is so fun and fairly easy going.

-He loves to be with his dad doing anything just outside with his dad
-He is as tall as Josie and weighs more than her but he has for a long time
-He talks way more than Josie did at this age
-He is obsessed with the potty and loves to use it but is far from totally potty trained
-His favorite treats are gobstoppers, yes I know they are not safe
-He loves loves loves the tub
-He melts if you spank him he just can't believe he is in trouble
-He loves to look at the Western Horseman and point out all the horses, cows, and hats
-He likes to ride his tricycle and loves jumping on the tramp no matter the weather

Happy Birthday Trig!!!

The older trig got the more I realized we were lacking boy toys. I wanted him to have some boy toys so I talked my dad into making building him a barn and shed. I was so excited to give them to Trig, I knew he would love them. Ill be real honest... I gave them to him the day before his party. I figured he should get to play with them without all the chaos of the party and that turned out perfect because he was so busy at the party he didn't even open this present.
I set it all up how I wanted and took a picture and then he came in and immediately moved everything around but I was so happy he loved it. Uncle Craig even came and played with him for a while. He cried when it was time for bed and he had to put it away.
Because I had already finagled my dad into making a barn and a shed I just asked him to make Trig a belt too! He did and its awesome but I don't have a picture yet.
Thanks Dad I really do appreciate all you do for me!

Define Mass Chaos

43 people- elementary school- birthday party-
I'm pretty sure it was a good time but it honestly defined mass chaos.
I love that Papa Trigger and my little Trig share a birthday. I want to have a big birthday party for them as long as Papa is around. This year was a little tough; I was worried about the weather and really worried that I would be in labor so I mostly just acted like it wasn't happening. I didn't plan it as well as I should have and quite honestly I just didn't have the motivation to worry about it; which by the end turned out to be a blessing. It did rain so instead of an outside Cowboy party BBQ with games, horse rides, and a skeet shoot; we did lunch at the school and played games (followed by some better weather so they did actually shoot skeet). I had some organized games to play but that was not happening- Everyone was going crazy. No one could hear or more realistically just didn't listen when I tried to have some order to the party so I just let them do whatever. You can see from the pictures nothing safe was happening but there was a lot of laughing and no major injuries so I'm counting it a success.
after lunch we sang to the birthday boys and opened presents
Tirg was so over stimulated I didn't even have him open his barn that I was so excited about so I'll just have to save that for another post.
The gym is where the chaos was taking place, as you can see it wasn't just the kids...
Because we couldn't shoot guns outside we had a little shoot out of our own indoors. My awesome brother in law Mike made marshmallow guns and the kids (but mostly adults) had a great time shooting each other.
Trig loved his gun! Hannah just love all the marshmallows! Marshmallow guns are really pretty safe and don't hurt so I'm guessing Jake got these enormous welts from an over grown man child who was playing a little too rough. Normally I would pin that right on Dean but honestly all the men were playing the part that day so who knows who's to blame.
See what I mean?
Papa with his sister Cookie and her husband Eldon
Trig was excited to see the pinata that had been at our house, he watched me fill it and kept saying 'treat'
We tried to play 'Pin the Mustache' on the cowboy but the kids were too busy for any organized games so I just left it at that. But for the record Kason was the one that broke the pinata and won the mustache game. I'm going to have a party for him he so cute and excited about everything!
Next the men and older kids went out to shoot skeet, I didn't get any pictures but you can imagine about what it looked like.

update

Not much has been going on around here, which is exactly how we want it. Dean is almost done calving. This has been a rough calving season starting off so cold and having to pull so many calves from the new heifers. He has been a lot more enjoyable with this nice weather we are having. He has been burning everything, he is so happy with a propane tank and a weed burner in his hands; and I'm just nervous he will start the state of fire.
This baby girl is kicking my butt. I'm so sick of myself; I feel like I have been complaining for an entire 9 months, my poor family. This has been a hard pregnancy from the very beginning. She is coming April 25, three weeks, I want her out but I need her to stay in there so she and Trig don't share a birthday. I don't think anyone should have to share a birthday with their sister. I still don't have a name and I really wish I did. Yesterday I did the dishes after leaving them in the sink for two days which honestly never happens. When I was done I realized I washed almost every bowl, spoon, and cup we own but not one pan or plate. I guess we had been having cereal for the past two days, truthfully I'm not sure what happened but I'm positive Dean is as sick of this pregnancy as I am. And It would be important to document that I was terrified when I first found out I was pregnant. But I have come to terms with it and I really am excited to meet this baby. I'm scared of newborns because mine have been hard but I think I'm ready for this one. I know it is going to be hard having three little ones but I'm mostly convinced it can't be too much harder than having two and being pregnant.
Though I have been far less than a good mom my babies continue to be adorable. Trig melts my heart, he is talking so much and is all boy. He is constantly banging on things, hitting, spitting, and yelling but I secretly love how rough he plays. He loves to be outside ALL THE TIME, jumping on the tramp, swinging, and playing in the sand pile. He loves Josie and his dad. Dean has been so good to take him almost every morning to feed cows and he loves it. He fell down the stairs and got a black eye and I'm pretty sure it will just be the first of many in his life. I'm going to have to protect our new baby from his rough ways. O and he is so so good at playing pretend. He plays pretend and really does understand the crazy scenarios Josie puts him in. Sometimes he is the dad, or the guy that works at the tire store. He loves to play puppy and will follow Josie around playing pretend most of the day. They take break every 20 minutes or so for a good fight. They hit and cry and then they get over it and play like best friends again.
Josie is growing up so fast. She is so smart and quite brassy. She is a good girl, she cries a lot and is sometimes unpleasant but she isn't naughty or mischievous. She still loves playing with her babies, playing house, and is has started playing school a lot. We have been going to an occupational therapist who magically can get Josie to eat anything but getting her to do it at home is another story. We will keep going to see how much it helps. She is very set in her ways and you can't talk her into doing or not doing anything. She likes to make lists and birthday cards. She is really into routines and following the rules. She loves her cats and also loves to play outside. She loves when Trig goes with dad because she gets to do special things like paint and play games that just don't work with Trig around. She has been planning her birthday for the last 6 months and even though its not til July she makes me sing Happy Birthday to her almost daily. She asked me for a weed burner like dad for her birthday and said she will be really careful with it. Just so we are clear that is not happening. She still likes to watch Dora, who I can not stand. I told her we aren't going to watch Dora anymore because she doesn't teach us anything beneficial. The next day she says, "Mom I could watch Dora even if her doesn't learn me things sometimes". So I'm still sticking to the 'no more Dora' rule.

Our Easter

Friday we made a quick trip to Harrisville for Emilee's Birthday party. It was awesome. She served a good dinner and then we played games. It was fun to visit and let the kids play outside, the weather was so nice.

Our Easter Bunny comes on Saturday morning instead of Sunday.  It was a little last minute but he did show up. We waited for Dean to finish feeding cows and then let the kids search for their baskets they were excited for at least 10 minutes and then forgot that it even happened. Josie just kept talking about riding her scooter (she didn't get it for Easter she just really wanted to go outside).
Easter Sunday we had dinner at our house with the Fox family. Laurel did her annual scavenger hunt with the kids, she is so good to them and such a fun aunt. She gave them way more stuff than the Easter Bunny did. Then Grandma Fox and Papa gave them even more surprises. There was a lot of visiting, jumping on the tramp, and 4-wheeling. Grandpa and Grandma Fox dyed eggs with the kids, and then made pickled eggs and gave us some; So Exciting for me!
