Dance Class

Dean's mom has a clogging company that she teaches at the school by our house. Josie is old enough for the preschool class this year so we thought we would try it out.
Joise was so excited about her first day of dance class. She kept running around the house yelling, "Everybody wait for me, yets go to dance class". She had no idea what actually happened at dance I'm sure because she wanted to take her backpack, her toy dog, and some goldfish crackers.
On our way out the door I told her to give me a pose for a picture and this is what I got. She is so silly. We had to stop and show papa her dancing clothes on the way. When we got there she said it was, "a little scary" and just sat by me. By the end she was up and going crazy.

Last week

The Whites came for the weekend. We went on a long 4-wheeler ride and had a good visit.
Dean took the kids for a ride. I was happy that they both cried when he said they had to get off.

When I wasn't looking

I was in doing Josie's hair and heard some noise I didn't worry but maybe I should have. I found this little man (16 months) just helping himself to a treat. I know he is a climber but I'm surprised he moved the chair right where it needed to be to get himself a cookie. He was sure happy with himself!

Blue Dog

Today our Blue Dog died. We will miss him so much! He was the coolest dog I've ever had. We aren't sure how he died but we sure are heart broken. Dean bought him the first month we were married for $150 but told me he was only $100 because I'm against paying money for dogs (my dad says if you wait long someone will always give you a free dog). I wouldn't call myself a dog person but I did love Blue. Blue was totally part of our family, he had so much personality. I'm positive I could see the expression in his face when Dean would pull out of the driveway without him or when the kids would come outside to play. Dean spent more time with Blue than he ever has with any one person, he was always by his side. Blue loved to be in the action; I'm not exaggerating when I say Blue is in 80% of the pictures I've taken outside. He is always running around in the background somewhere. Blue was crazy and full of life. He only had a couple teeth left because they had all been kicked out by cows. He was a good cow dog but a pet to the kids and I.  He was a good dog, obedient; he didn't jump on people or chew stuff up. I loved that when we went to town Blue would jump out of the truck and lay on the ground underneath so he wasn't so hot. When we would come out of the store he jumped back in and we never had to tell him. I also LOVED that when Dean walked outside in church clothes he would walk to the truck with him but never jumped in he new he wasn't going when Dean was dressed up.
always in the action

lately

I have been on a break from taking pictures I guess I just got tired of carrying my camera around. We even went on a little family trip and I didn't take one picture. I realized I hadn't been taking many pictures yesterday when Josie put on her dad's hat and told me to take her picture. Normally she doesn't like her picture taken but she must miss it a little. The first picture is Josie reading books to Trig in the cupboard. Every book starts with "Once upon a time" and each story she tells him has a 'Mountain' in it (oddly she really likes the mountains). The kids have been playing together so well, and fighting so much. Its fun to watch them one minute they are fighting over toys and the next minute they are laughing with each other. Josie is learning how to manipulate Trig to get him to do what she wants. Needless to say he has been pushing her around on her a lot.

We had FHE at Ballards one Monday and Gracie was so excited to document in pictures. (most of the pictures were of her).
Playing Games
 Playing horses
We had peaches and cream for desert.
Josie got like a 3 hour flu so she was quarantined to Ang's room to watch a movie. I am glad Gracie got a picture it was such a fluke thing.
The Hall's and the Keyes were there too.

Eastern Idaho State Fair

Dean qualified to team brand at the state fair. I love the Blackfoot Fair so I was really excited about it. They placed 4th and it was a good competition. We walked around everything but I was sad more wasn't going on (no horse shows or Indian Relay races) I wish we could have gone on a busier day. We still had a good time and stayed that night in a hotel. Josie and I love to stay in hotels; we went swimming and ate pizza it was a good memory but we didn't take one picture.

My new sister

T.J. asked this sweet girl to marry him... and she said yes!!!
I think I'm more excited than they are.

branding

Dean and Bryan branded the horses. I went to watch because I have never seen them freeze brand before it wasn't too exciting but it was interesting. They had a big barrel of liquid nitrogen (which I'm not even sure that is legal). They shaved the horse, cleaned the spot with alcohol, and then took the brand soaked in the nitrogen to the horse. It burns the hair and in six weeks and forever turns the hair white in the shape of the brand.

These too watched and fought and watched and fought some more.

our backyard

Dean took us on a wheeler ride on Sunday. Josie was excited to go on a little walk in the jungle. She kept asking if I wanted to take the first path or the second path. Then she sat of this log and told me to be really quite so we didn't scare the birds in the jungle. I don't even know where she comes up with stuff like that. Trig loved riding with his dad and pretending to drive. The leaves have just started changing and it was a fun ride.
