Crazy Hair

I have both the blessing and the curse of naturally curly hair. If I shower and let my hair air dry it ends up pretty wild. One morning I was making my bed and Trig walked in my room. We had a normal conversation just like every morning. 

Trig: Mom does Josie go to preschool today

Me: No bud we are all staying home today

Trig: Not me, I'm going to work with dad, I'm going to wear me cowboy clothes

Me: Okay bud go get dressed

Trig: Can I jump on your bed mom?

Me: No bud go get dressed

Trig: Okay mom I'm going to wear my cowboy clothes

...he runs out and not three steps into the hallway he yells, "Josie, hurry, come see mom her looks like a grizzly bear, come see, her looks so crazy and her hair is really messy like a big bear". 

at least he was kind enough to hold the rude comments until he thought I couldn't hear him. Then I let him take a picture of me so I could remember how much I love his little personality!

Easter

The Easter Bunny made his way to our house Saturday morning and the kids where so tickled that he hid their baskets in our room. They just couldn't believe that he came in our room and we didn't even see him. They got zoo tickets in their baskets and when Dean told them what it was and that we could go right then Josie said, "No dad we can't go to the zoo its too far away", because that is what we told her every time she asked to go to for the last 18 months. But we did get in the car right then and headed to the zoo. It was perfect weather and not too crowded. I asked a guy to take a picture of our family and he must not have noticed Josie, or maybe he just thought it was more important to get the elephants forehead?

Saturday night we went to dinner with some of Dean's mission companions while the kids dyed easter eggs at the Hall's house. Sunday morning we went to church with my parents and then headed to papa's for dinner with Dean's family. 

I got Craig and Leann easter baskets and Dean was really proud of his hiding spot.

Janale planned a fun birthday party for Papa and people came all day long.

Laurel did an easter egg hunt for the kids and Dean took me on a ride on TJ's new bike!

We had a picnic at my moms too. It was beautiful weather so we got out the horses.

Quincy lounged on Cameron forever which was awesome for me and exciting for him. 

Jenna gave Trig a tent for his birthday that he and Josie living in everyday since and my mom gave Trig a baseball T that he loves and it has saved him a lot of frustration. Laurel gave Trig a cowboy blanket, TJ and Ashton gave him a big ball and whenever comes over he tells people, "TJ gave me this and he drives a big motorcycle". 

We were all exhausted after a fun weekend and Josie and Trig were asleep before we hit Brigham, Quincy held on the longest but she even gave in after a while. 

Baby Quinc is 1

This little baby is 1

This is how you look when you wake up on your very first birthday! I have been trying so hard to get Quincy to walk, I want her to be able to walk outside in the summer. She will take a few steps for marshmallows and she will stand for a while as long as she has something enticing keeping her mind off the fact that she isn't holding onto anything, like the lens cap for instance.

This little girl has the EXACT personality of her dad. She is so so happy and pleasant as long as she is fed, well rested, and doing what she wants. But she has a short fuse, sometimes its funny how quickly she can loose her temper. 

I love when she mimics talking on the phone and, 

I love to play peek-a-boo with this girl, who wouldn't?

She loves the pans all day, every day

She loves to be outside and anywhere the kids are. She has spent a lot of time the last few months in the farm truck and she is always a really good sport as long as she can see what's going on. I sure love this baby and I hope this next year goes a lot slower than the last one has. 

Big Guy

This boy turned 3 and he is really happy about it. He keeps telling me, ...it's because I'm a big guy now huh mom? Janale ordered him a cute little cowboy cake from my cute friend Jennie and he was really excited about the cowboy hat on it. 

 This boy is growing up so fast. He is smart and finally starting to pay attention to the things going on around him. He is getting a little attitude and we are all learning how to deal with it. He obviously still loves working with his dad and this week he has been real busy fencing. He helps for a few seconds and then jumps over something and then comes back to work. Throws a few dirt clods and then pounds some staples; just like any good helper would. We sure love him. Happy Birthday Big Guy

7 Years

Our anniversary was on a Sunday this year so after church we went on a 4-wheeler ride with Leann and Beth. Dean stopped at the tree he proposed by so we could get a picture! We went on a date the Friday before to celebrate and bought a new mattress, it is so awesome! I loved him 7 years ago but I love him so much more now.

A day with Grandma Fox

Janale planned a special day to take the grandkids to SLC to Build A Bear; they all loved it. They loved picking out their animals and adding accessories. They helped stuff, bath and name their new friends. Next they got happy meals at McDonalds and played on the toys. When we were headed back to Papa's Kasen said, "this is the best day ever"! I think they all agreed. At Papa's they got to dye Easter Eggs and frost cupcakes. What a fun Day!
