Baby Quincy

Quincy came on the 25th of April. It was a mostly nice day. After the Dr. broke my water I went on my own, I didn't need pitocin but I did get a epidural. Labor was quick and easy, I threw up the entire delivery. Dean had to leave so he didn't throw up too; we both regained composure and then got to meet our girl. She was 8.4lbs and 20 inches. I'm not sure what made me so sick but I was nauseous for three days. Quincy is a good eater, which I love. The nurses in the hospital told me she was high maintenance but she has been a really good baby so far (O how I hope that sticks). My parents brought the kids up right after I got to my room. They were able to watch the nurse bath her and they both wanted to hold her. It was so fun to see them together.

We took Quincy to see Papa and as tradition he gave her her first dollar. We sure love him!
My mom came and stayed with us for a few days which I appreciated so much. I felt awful for the first few days and my body hurt so bad. I didn't feel this sick with the other two so I was grateful for the help. She came with me to take the kids to the Dr where we found out Quincy didn't need Bili lights and I was so grateful, I hate those things.  The next day she cooked til our fridge was full and the next she cleaned. She was so awesome to play with the kids an keep the baby at night. Needless to say we were all sad to see her go.
 We are all adjusting...
Trig loves his baby sister, but is not obsessed.  He says 'hold her' over and over again, but he doesn't hold her for very long. He just loves her and then runs away. He really is more into pushing her swing with her in it or not, he can't leave it alone.
I thought Josie was having a hard time with a new baby around because she had been to unpleasant and whinny, more than normal. I realized it was just because of all the company we had been having and she was just plain board. She just needed some down time and to get back into a routine. She is doing so much better now. She loves to help with the baby and she sweetly asks a couple times everyday 'mom hows the new baby doing'. The day my mom left Josie needed an activity so she made a princess crown and Trig made a dragon crown, Josie would only let him be her dragon. I love this picture because I guess if you are two and have no idea what your sister is making you pretend this is how you pretend to be a dragon. They are so fun.
I love this picture. I'm sure its just the first of many times Quincy is going to be annoyed with Josie trying to mother her.
