What are the odds...

He knew Josie was a hard baby and he has been worried about her weight for a long time. Now my boy is on crazy expensive formula because he too has a protein sensitivity like Jos did. He is old and said that he has never seen two babies in the same family with this sensitivity, but now I'm his
first.

Today he preformed a frenectomyon my little guy because he was tongue tied. I asked him what the odds of me having another baby being tongue tied was. He looked at me with a crooked smile and said yours are probably pretty good but a regular moms would be very low. Then I showed him Josie's upper lip... yep it needs afrenectomy too. I would not be a good surrogate.

A frenectomy is the surgical removal of the frenulum. This surgery is most often performed on frenum tissue that is found in the mouth. There are two primary locations in the mouth where frenum is found — under the tongue and underneath the center of the upper lip. In the event that the frenum is attached too close to the tip of the tongue or too far down the gums between the front teeth, a frenectomy may be performed.
