Things for me to remember...

Today I woke up to the smell of waffles. It's true my husband was so sick of eating cold cereal he made himself waffles. I'm a bad wife, sometimes I blame it on being pregnant but truth is I might just be a bad wife.

Dean bought me a new camera. We were at Best Buy, I picked the one I wanted and so Dean walks over to the guy with a totally straight face and said, "Hey I wanted to buy this camera over here but it is attached to some kind of cord or something" The guy thought Dean was totally serious and explained how that was only the model. I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants.

Then we go to the Olive Garden and both ordered some kind of fancy lemonade. The Lady brings them out and tells us how they are so good. Dean immediately throws the entire mint leaf into his mouth and asks the lady. "How about these leaves are they pretty good too?" Her eyes got really wide and she tells him that its just a garnish for looks, she too thought Dean was serious. Again, almost peed my pants, It was so funny. I love this boy, he is my best friend.

Dean is such a good dad...
The other night I had a big thing at the church and Dean said he would tend Josie. The night before I tried to get some groceries but never got around to it. He told me that if I would leave an easy list he would take Josie and get groceries while I was at the church. Precious right? Well turns out he wanted to go look at a horse and was out of ice cream but either way I gave him credit.

Yesterday Dean took Josie and I with him to get a few stragglers. I put these old sun glasses on Josie and was super impressed she kept them on, turns out her coat was so big she couldn't get her hands out to take them off.

I love crooked piggies, I think they are so cute I can't even get mad at her for taking out her bow and pulling the piggies to the side.
Josie is so fun right now. She is really serious about playing. She loves to be a big girl. Ang gave us some big girl toys and she can't get enough of them.

Halloween

Josie was a chicken for Halloween. I learned my lesson about making costumes this year - Its easier and cheaper just to buy them. I glued a binky in her beak so she would keep it on, it worked perfectly. I never got around to making the feet but she looked cute just the same.
Just like every year we headed down to see grandma and grandpa Richins to take a Halloween picture. Every year it gets a little louder.
We only took Josie trick or treating to one house, but nana and papa were excited to see her.
This is the face she pulls when she is yelling at me.
We stayed the night at Angela's and the kids had candy for breakfast...
Josie loves to be one of the big kids.
Janale bought Josie this cute monkey costume. The big ears with a big tooth smile is so funny. It's a little big but at the rate she is growing she will be able to wear it next year. Well really at the rate she is growing she should be able to wear it for the rest of her life.

Most of October

Cameron and Addy got us really good tickets to the REAL SLC game. It was really fun, perfect weather and a good game. I tired to buy a churro but Gracie said the line was to long so she wouldn't wait with me, I'm pretty sure it saved me at least $6.
Over Conference weekend Addy and Cameron's family came to stay with us. We enjoyed the company. My Mom and Dad came up for Sunday dinner as well.
These are my beehives they are crazy all the time. No matter how close they are, they are always talking over 120 decibels. They exhaust me, but I really do love them all.
We are excited to be excepting baby #2 in April. I was surprised when I realized I was pregnant, and felt pretty sick for the last little while. I feel a lot better this week so I think the worst is over. Josie and the baby will only be 21 months apart but I'm excited she will have a little friend.
Josie and I went to take pictures of Dean working cows but turns out its really not that interesting, so I snapped this cute one with grandpa instead.
Dean asked me how long it would be before he could take Josie to help him move cows. I told him at least 3 years, but I don't know if he will wait that long.
Sometimes when your the mom its okay to give your baby a cupcake for breakfast!
I took Josie to the Dr. because she had the flu and a sinus infection she hadn't eaten for three days and I was pretty sure that was a problem. She weighs 17.2 lbs and is off the charts - not in a good way- She is back to eating but is still really picky. She still isn't walking but is a busy little girl. She is a climber and has no fear of anything. She still cries every time Dean leaves the house, she loves him a lot but mostly she just wants to go outside.

re-bath

Dean takes his ice cream very seriously. It's a thing he got from his grandpa. He tells me that it fills in the cracks from his dinner. So the other night after dinner I asked him to bath Josie while I did the dishes. From the bathroom Dean yells to me, "hey could you bring me some ice cream?" I told him that my hands were wet so I couldn't. Then he says, "well come watch her and I'll get it." I said no again. So he gets her out of the tub, puts her in her pajamas and gets himself some ice cream. Josie is his little ice cream eating buddy so he turns to give her some and she was gone. This is how he found her. Apparently she didn't get to play long enough in the tub, and apparently Dean was so worried about his ice cream he didn't drain the water. I love them both!

A Package in the Mail

Josie got a package in the mail today! Aunt Karla sent Josie this cute sweater she made, I'm pretty sure Josie loves it. I know I did thats why I dressed Josie up like a little doll and took her picture.

Determination...

This little girl is determined. She was making me laugh so hard this morning. she was trying with all her might to get up on the couch. She would get mad and hit the couch and try again. She tried for like 15 minutes and finally I gave in and showed her how to climb on a pillow to get on. Now all day she has been getting on, diving off and doing it all over again. (Don't mind the hair, thats what happens after pigtails and an obviously rough night sleep).
Leann plays volleyball for Grace High School, we go watch her home games. Josie loves them. She never watches the game but has a great time climbing around on the bleachers. Kason gave Josie the entire bag of gold fish and what didn't end up on the ground she shoved in her mouth all at the same time.

Sunday afternoon at the park...
She pretty much thought the teeter-totter was the funniest thing ever.

Priorities

Last night Deans phone rang at 1:10am
(we had been asleep for at least 3.5 hours - we are so old)
It was my neighbor calling, she was apparently on her way home from the night life.
She told Dean his Bulls were on the road.
The call woke me up so I decided I might as well go help him- bad idea it was cold.
So we are driving down the driveway and I look over at Dean
He has on basketball shorts, cowboy boots, no shirt - just his g-top, and a baseball cap.
Who puts on a hat and no shirt - pretty sure his priorities are out of whack.

Laundry? Life Insurance?

Today I washed a load of Deans work clothes, as I pulled them out of the dryer I noticed this pair of pants was still really dirty so I held them up to see if it was a stain or if the washer wasn't working. Thats when I noticed this...
Then I pulled out this shirt. (The picture doesn't even do it justice, it has tares all over)
First of all why did clothes that were obviously not wearable again even go in the dirty clothes when they should have just gone strait to the garbage.
Second, why did I not hear about this incident it was clearly very painful
Third I'm really glad I have life insurance on this boy its obvious his job is dangerous

New Hair

This is real! I cut my hair, well it was kind of an accident; I told they lady I wanted my hair shorter but long enough for a pony tail.
When she was finished I said, "this is definitely not long enough to pull back". She replied "Sorry I guess I was just so hungry I wasn't paying attention". I really do like it but make sure your hair dresser isn't too hungry or you might get a surprise like me!

Josie loves our dog. Every time we go outside she says puppy, puppy over and over again.
Its one of the 4 words she knows. So I think she is pretty smart, well turns out she thinks any animal is a puppy. We went to take Dean some lunch today.
Over and over she said puppy, puppy... as she was waving her hands towards the herd of cows.

Dean Please Come Home...

Dean has been working cows today... for over 17 hours and he is still not done.

Sisters

Dean's Sisters asked me to take their pictures. Every other one Leann is doing something silly, but we still got some cute ones.Just a random one of Laurel reading to Josie. Josie has got so interested in books, she brings them to me and turns to sits on my lap (she doesn't sit through a whole story but its a start!)

Baby Koen...

Josie and I went to stay with the Whites for two days. Josie loved having friends and I loved holding this baby.
