We don't love Deer meat and Dean is pretty good about not hunting unless he finds a trophy animal. This year he had a trophy picked out, he and Zach had been scouting for weeks. Dean spent several nights on the hill, sometimes alone, sometimes with Zach. They were determined to kill this enormous Deer but he was just too smart (most likely why he lived to be so big) Dean didn't want to give up but knew I was running out of patience and he had real life things that took priority, otherwise he probably would have stayed on the hill all day and every night til they got it killed. Anyhow Trig and I were delighted when he killed this guy! I was happy because the hunt was over and Trig was so excited to use his own knife to help skin it. Everyday he tells me a few more gory details he learned about anatomy while skinning this thing. For example this morning he woke up, climbed into my bed and said, Mom deer eat grass, I know because I saw the grass in that Deer's stomach when dad cut it open".
