My dad wanted to name me Maud but my mom liked Lindsey so it became my middle name. I was always glad that I got my great grandma's name as a middle name but so glad that it wasn't my first name. When I was pregnant with Quincy I wanted to name her Maud but couldn't quite get past remembering how grateful I was that it wasn't my first name when I was little, so again Maud ended up a middle name. I have always loved to hear my grandma talk about her childhood, especially her mom, Amy Maud Hulse. She calls her "mamma" in all her stories. When grandma moved she cleaned out a lot of things but the punch bowl was one thing she kept. I was so honored the day she gave it to my little Quincy Maud. I love the hand written note that was folded up so tightly and placed inside.
