Caribou County Fair and Rodeo 2014

We were going to forgo the 'Little Buckaroo Rodeo' this year because Trig wasn't old enough to ride a sheep, but Josie really wanted to do the stick horse barrels again because she didn't win at the Plain City Rodeo. We signed both of the kids up because it was cheaper than paying admission. They were both really excited and had been practicing. Trig did awesome and he wasn't even ashamed of his pink horse. He ran the pattern perfectly until he was running home and got a little excited and looped around the second barrel again just for kicks! Josie went next and Dean psyched her out a little bit, she got nervous so the rodeo queens ran with her.
I found these two practicing the barrels when they should have been in the bath.
Saturday we washed the horses for the horse show.
Quincy and I sat in the stands and ate goldfish while Trig trick rode through the lead line. He was so funny, it was like he couldn't focus or hold still for two minutes.
Trig was so proud of his ribbon and his trophy he is still carrying them around.
Josie did so awesome in the walk trot. She did everything perfect except put her feet in the stirrups. She got 4th place out of 8 kids and was very happy about her ribbon but elated when she found out she won a check for $4.50
Anglea and her kids came and spent a few days. We went to the rodeo and the derby.
Gracie and her adorable friend Kambry all dressed up to go to the teen dance in the arena after the rodeo. Woot! Woot!
We went to Bear Lake one day and still managed to have fun despite the chilly weather.
Saturday TJ and Ashton hung out with us at the parade. Josie yelled her high pitched scream the entire parade so she would get more candy and Quincy waved at every float that went by while crying because of the overwhelming noises.
