Doug said it hurt...

I was having some serious pain, so I did what any normal person would do... I googled my symptoms. I was pretty sure I was just going to die but google said this pain was just gall stones. I waited until I had 3 more attacks and was way closer to death before I finally went to the Dr. They gave me an ultrasound and decided to operate. My fabulous sisters took care of me and my babies, it was like I was on vacation, a very painful painful vacation. I thought I would be able to bounce right back but turns out when you loose an organ it really hurts.
Here is the kicker... Dean was relatively nice to me. I told him when I was in pain and he didn't care, he didn't make fun of me but he didn't care. He gave me a blessing, he drove me to and from surgery but we really didn't talk much about the pain, the procedure, or the recovery. When I finally came home he says, "Hey I talked to Doug (that's his friend) He says that what you did is really painful, I mean he said it was like a really big deal and when he had attacks and got surgery it was really bad. Like he really felt bad for you, I guess its a big deal - he made a big deal about it, you know like it was painful even for him". O really so now that Doug tells you its painful you have sympathy for me - so sweet

That is funny. You should call Doug and tell him to tell Dean it would be a good idea for him to take you on vacation because you were in so much pain. Then Dean will do it. YOu should come to MY house!! Heck, Ill call Doug. What is his number. Glad Dean could find out that you were in pain.

I agree with Addy....See if you can go somewhere tropical! If he doesn't want to go with you we can have a girls trip. Plus, it might be a husband thing, I had to really persuade Austin to take me to the ER right before my intestines blew up. He really would have been sad if that had happened at home.

Every man needs a Doug! Sad but true. I may even need a Doug. I am not sympathetic and believe that no matter how sick you are you can still do laundry.
But this is coming from someone who truly believed that having her thyroid removed would be only a 4 hour ordeal. I WAS WRONG! I should have called Doug.
