TeePee

Dean is ALWAYS trading stuff, it drives me crazy but he can't get enough. He traded something for a raita and traded the raita for this TeePee, he says its his best trade to date. The kids love it as much as he does. Dean slept out there with them twice already. The kids have been playing in it all day everyday since we got it. They took their sleeping bags out there to play and next thing in know Quincy walks inside straight to her room and I find her like this. She feeling left out and trying to use her rug as her very own sleeping bag.

Taylor Comes to Stay

Josie had to be in the Plain City parade on July 4th so just she and I ran down since we were all so burnt out from traveling Dean stayed home with the little ones. We went down for the parade and then came right home. Taylor cam with us and it was so exciting! We did a few fireworks, Quincy was so afraid, she would cheer and then scream.
We went to see the movie Inside Out, swam at lava and bear lake, and played dolls. Taylor was so pleasant and such a good helper. We loved having her stay.

SOME OF JUNE

Dean teaching Trig how to drive the 4 wheeler, I'm sure that's not a good idea.
Josie went to work with Dean and I had to take him some vaccine and this is what I saw. I was so grossed out and bothered. I guess its what you do on a ranch. She is holding the tails while they AI
Trig found his first shed all on his own. Dean was a proud dad.
Everyday was call Leann and Craig and see if they can come jump high
one EARLY morning Quincy came and got in my bed randomly with her piano and played me a few tunes.
When your brother helps you get a drink.
I love to watch her play like this.
If you don't have a city pool sometimes you have to swim in the culvert.
We love our chatbooks from instagram.
Trig walks up the stairs.... Introducing Queen Josie and Princess Quincy and then they followed.
Dean is in the middle of haying season

Nauvoo

Dean and I took the kids to Chicago and then on to Nauvoo. It was such a fun experience. I think I had such a wonderful time because I was prepared for the worst traveling with children this small. They loved the airport and having their own suitcases. On the plane they did good on the 3.5 hour flight into Chicago. Quincy got a little antsy but we had enough games and treats to keep her happy.
We stopped at the Cloud Gate in Chicago, because thats just what you do when you go to this city.
The kids (and even Amelia) loved swimming at the hotels!
We went to the American Gril Doll store, it was so adorable. I tried buy Josie a new doll but she said that would make Amelia feel bad.
Trig was in heaven at the Lego store and its probably a good thing Dean took him instead of me. I probably would have been in heaven there too.
Dean wanted to go to the tallest tower in the world. I had read the reviews and it sounded hot and crowded but I'm so glad we went because it was perfect. No one was there it was really cool.
We drove 4 hours to Nauvoo and got there to see the end of this show. It was so fun to watch. We had perfect weather while we were there which keeps everyone happy.
We loved being with grandma and grandpa!
Grandma tended while we went to the temple, she treated the kids to their special breakfast of oreos and they were elated. then she bathed them and got them ready for the day. We met them over at the pioneer games (Josie's favorite part of the trip). My parents also kept the kids so Dean and I could drive to Carthage. We went through the Jail and then stayed to watch the reenactment because it was the 171st anniversary of Joseph's passing. It was such a neat experience. Dean's favorite was the Church of Christ tour and my favorite was the feeling there. Really the whole place just beams with an amazing spirit. Trigs favorite part was legos.
We loved watching the shows. The actors were amazing, Josie even got called on stage for one of them. It was also fun to see my parents in action at the sites. Mom in the family living center talking about making bread and grandpa helped us make our very own rope.
On our way home we stopped at the Brookfeild Zoo. It is twice the size as Hoagle Zoo. It was awesome but this was the first day the heat and humidity combined making the weather miserable.
Sleeping kids made for a short four hour trip back to Chicago.
We were all beat by the time we got back on the plane to go home. I drugged the kids so they would sleep it worked for Dean, Josie, and Trig but Quincy just cried the entire 3.5 hours home. Sad for everyone on the plane. I'm so glad we went, we had a wonderful time and we are looking forward to going back.
