White's came for Conference

Addy and her family came to stay for conference weekend. We always have so much fun. The kids had a great time running around playing and doing crafts.
The boys went to work cows for a minute in the morning and then we went on an incredible long four wheeler ride. We stopped and picked some apples at a wild apple tree and Quincy was in heaven, she loves a good apple, she eats the whole thing core and all. (Dean has been joking all Fall that if you wanted to play a mean trick on someone you would give Quincy an apple and tell them to take it away, she freaks out). We stopped near a river for some lunch and Addy and Krey caught a snake. Craig dropped his leather-man in the water and had to strip down to climb in and get it. Quincy and I took a nasty fall off the wheeler when I was trying to hold her while she slept and steer down a steep hill with only one hand. Cameron rescued us and when got to the bottom and explained what happened to Dean he was less than sympathetic. The boys got home in time to make it to the priesthood session. Sunday we enjoyed conference and went fishing. Later Casey and his family came up so I could take their family pictures and the Whites headed home.

Babysitting Ballards

The kids and I got to sleep over at the Ballard's for a few days while Angela and Mike went to a work thing. Quincy had a great time pestering Max and we enjoyed having a park nearby while the older kids were at school. On Friday Gracie went with her friends and the rest of us went to the new park in Ogden, walked around, temple square, and got ice cream. I was a good thing we had a fun night because the next day I made them work before their parents came home.
My girls loved getting to play with Gracie's American Girl Doll almost as much as they enjoyed having their cousins around.
Jake was so sweet to Trig the whole time, he is reading to him about animal predators.
I love how much Quincy is starting to pretend and I can't get enough of her camera smile.
Jake had Max giggling so hard in this swing for well over 10 minutes

a few random things

Dean took Trig to work with him and he fell asleep, Dean text me this picture. I just love him.
I'm always bragging to Dean about how good I am at tether ball he plays me every chance we get and I win every time. So he tried playing my dad, JD, Cameron... maybe I'm not as good as I think, maybe I'm just better than him, turns out so is everybody else which is only funny because he is so dang competitive.

Josie asked me to take her picture, she is so proud of the things she is learning to do!
The girls invited me in to come buy some animals at their "livestock auction" such funny ladies.

Cattle Drive

While Trig and Josie helped Dean move cows Quincy and I took the 4-wheeler to block holes. I snapped this picture of her crazy smile when she knows she is getting her picture taken. The kids did so good and rode right were Dean told them to. I love to hear them hoop and holler to the cows. Josie trotted almost the whole way, she had a side ache and her little body was so tired by the time they were done.

Trig has NO idea how this happened...

labor day

Sometimes I feel like because I live so far away from everything the rest of the world is having a great big party and I'm missing it especially on holidays. Dean was gone when I woke up so we went to find him, of course Dean thinks labor day is for actual labor so we went home and played for a while. It was exciting because the kids built their first big tower (they are finally figuring out how to make everything balance) and Quincy just started playing pretend which I love but I still felt like we should do something fun. Dean never came home so we settled for a trip to the grocery store for groceries and balloons.
But Dean totally redeemed himself when he let us ride a few rides the next day at the Idaho State Fair. When Dean was finished team branding we took the kids over to ride rides, I think I actually wanted to more than the kids but it was something we never did as kids and now I know why, this ferris wheel ride alone cost us $12. lesson learned we wont be doing that ever again.

Some of August

Dean finally got his saddle, he has been waiting for it wall summer. Jason Dalton made it and Dean is really happy with it but thinks the horn is too big.
Lately every time Dean leaves the house Quincy screams to go with him so he takes her outside to play for a couple minutes and them leaves her either on the tramp or in the swing; so after a while I just go gather her up and bring her back in the house.

This is a magic sidewalk and if you don't step on the books you are in the ocean and Sharks will eat you.
We got a beef from Stan and we are so grateful for the meat. Beef is so expensive and it was nice of him to let us have it, We have been blessed.
Each night Dean tries to come up with excuses why he can't be a horse but always gives in to these little hoodlums.
Josie is loving tumbling and getting better each week, I really think it is strengthening her muscels.
This little monster is my worst kid so far for graffiti. I don't even know where she finds the pens but she colors on walls and cabinets, this time I'm glad its just chalk.
Meet our 'other' baby Hinckley, Emilee bought this doll for Josie and she carries her around 100% of the time. Its like I have 4 kids but I love baby dolls so I don't mind too much.
Dean taking the kids for a little horse ride, he is so good to catch and saddle their horses whenever they ask.
Another day at the lake we just love this place, we have been at least once a week all summer!
