O how I love this boy

Preschool

Josie has a great opportunity to do a preschool online. It’s a really neat program and she likes doing it most of the time. She will have two years of preschool so next year we will commute so she can develop better social skills.

Taking pictures

We love pretend at our house but this might just be a sign that I take to many pictures.

Quincy

This little baby girl is 4 months old she eats almost 5oz. every four hours. I started adding oatmeal to her formula so she will stop throwing up so much. She weighs 12.19 lbs. She is a good sleeper and is getting a lot happier. She still hates the car and church but we are dealing with that. She has started giggling and cooing a lot more. She is sucking on her hands 99% of the time. She is a thumb sucker despite all my efforts to stop it. We just love her and hope she keeps up this good attitude.

Sunday's

Sunday's have been hard since I had kids. Its hard to get out the door on time no matter what time church starts. I feel like the longer I have been doing it the better I'm getting. Really the last couple months (despite Dean being gone to early meetings and having three babies) the kids and I have been getting to church on time with minimal sweat or tears.
Sunday I walked into church on time and Dean met us at the door. He looked at me funny and I remembered why, "I lost my makeup bag, I seriously can't find it anywhere". He says, "That's okay you just look like a washed up hippie". I let it roll off.
After sacrament I was standing in the hall and a guy says to me, "wow you sure look stressed". And I thought to myself that's weird cause I'm really not stressed; and besides that you are the same guy I told last year that it wasn't polite to tell people how they look when he told me I looked awfully tired. No lie right after I finished that thought my slip fell down around my ankles. So I just picked it up, put it in my diaper bag, and said, "I am stressed" and walked away.
Why do things like this always happen to me, and more importantly why do things keep falling off me at church.

We did however end the day with friends & dinner & smores; but I still can't find my make up.

No Soup For You

Josie: Hey guys come to my restaurant
What do you want to order?
Me: Ill have a strawberry please
Josie: We don’t sell those
Me: We would like some soup
Josie: I don’t sell that either
Me: O okay, we will have two hamburgers
Josie: We don’t sell those
Me: What do you sell
Josie: Snow cones
Me: Great can we have one red and one blue snow cone please?
Josie: Um sorry we are almost out of red and blue we have to save it so its not all gone
Me: Well what colors do you have?
Josie: Actually do you guys want to come in my restaurant and see how it works?
Me: Ya that will be cool

Trig and I get on the bed with her and she starts pointing to imaginary things; the hot dog maker, the vegetable cutter, the polka dot make… after she says that she covers her mouth and starts to giggle so I ask

Me: O can I buy some polka dots
Josie: No sorry they are only for me

and in the next breath they were off to play horse. I heard Trig say, "I tie you up and put the saddle on"

Caribou County Fair and Rodeo 2013 - Not my favorite

A girl in my ward was over the baby contest at the fair and she finagled me into doing it. I knew it was a bad idea from the start but she made me commit and I wanted to support her. It was way worse than awful. I had to wake them up from naps so we were late. Quincy screamed and no one could hear the announcer. Trig was being shy and wouldn't go up on the stage. Josie wouldn't take the hat and crown they tried to give her. I was sweating. It cost $15 bucks and they drew the winners out of a hat. I will never be doing that again. But if I was trying to say positive things they had great prizes and it was decorated so so cute. Though Quincy was awful at the contest she really has been lots happier this week and I painted her toes for the first time and every time I look at them it makes me smile.
On the 4th of July my nephews bought some ridiculous pvc bow and arrow toys for a high price. I thought I could make those so easy, make tons of money, and go on a cruise. So my sister and I made 400 not so easy, we had a lot of help and my dads tools. Then we sold them, not so easy either but we got it done, we sold all but 16 that were defects. I didn't want to sit at the booth, and I really couldn't have with three kids so I paid a girl in my ward to do it. Needless to say I don't have enough for a cruise yet but I'm getting there. Overall it was a learning experience and I will most likely never do anything like that again.
Josie wanted to be in the parade I tried several times to talk her into watching the parade and catching candy but she is determined. She got to ride with her friend Sierra and that made her so happy.
Janale was the Grand Marshal of the Children's Parade this year. Her dance team has been in the parade for 34 years straight so she deserves the title.
Trig wanted to ride like Josie so Dean followed the girls leading Rowdy while Trig rode and ate tootsie rolls.
Josie had been practicing for the horse show, she kept talking about being in the rodeo. She would not wear a western shirt, there was no talking her into it (I'm really scared to raise this stubborn child). They wouldn't let kids be in both the walk trot and the lead line. Dean entered her in the lead line because she would win a trophy for sure. She cried through the entire class, she wanted to do it herself. As soon as they handed her a trophy she was a happy lady. It was kids day at the fair with lots of free activities for kids, but after getting the horse ready and dealing with Josie's little sassy attitude. I was tired so we just went home and everyone took a nap even Josie.
Thursday we had planned to go to the Rodeo. The weather was perfect all day until we got there and it rained like crazy; just my luck. Friday Dean team penned and sorted, he won first and second so that was excellent. After lunch he was suppose to do some ranch horse show so we waited around for-ev-er and they didn't even get to Dean before they stopped the show to set up the pig wrestling event that night. Dean drove the kids home and put them all to bed while I finished selling the bow and arrows and when I got home he headed back to the fair (at 10 pm) to finish his ranch horse deal.
Saturday we went to Dean's class reunion and then team branded. He won second and forth so I guess you could say we got paid to go to the fair this year but we are tired and glad its over.

a bad day

To make a really long story/day short... Dean went to buy a work truck. He picked it up from the guy and drove it around a while and then to the bank to get the cash, it stalled in the parking lot. It was frustrating at the time but actually a blessing it broke before he paid for it. Later that day; Trig threw up, had a high fever and wouldn't stop crying. So on the way home we had to stop at insta-care; he had strep. They checked Quincy too, she had thrush. We finally made it home and I threw some wet clothes in the dryer, forgetting I put Quincy's thrush medicine in that same bag. I took the dryer completely apart cleaning every piece. There are still some stains, it was a really long day.

Beans

Waking up at 6 am, Picking, Snipping, Snapping, and worst of all Bottling Beans was not my idea of a good time growing up. But now I have matured a little and not only do I realize the importance of this task, I even enjoy it a little. I wanted to snap a picture of this sweet grandma of mine; She is such a woman.

Quincy at 3 months

Quincy is three months old, she is getting more happy little by little. Dean still can't deal with her crying, he gets all tense and gets ornery so I try to keep the two of them apart as much as possible; that is so sad but it's true. She has started to giggle a bit and is still trying to figure out how to use her voice. She weighs 11 pounds and eats 4 ounces every 4 hours. She sleeps through the night most of the time but every couple nights we have a real bad one. I love her so much and enjoy being her mom, I'm so excited to start seeing her little personality come out.
Trig kept sneaking in my pictures. I told him to go away and he said, 'me teasing you mom'

Happy Birthday Josie

We had a little party at Bear Lake for Josie but on her actual birthday we invited Dean's family over for another little celebration. Josie had a good time decorating. She got this little 'coin' as she calls it from primary when they sang to her for her birthday. She couldn't have been more excited. She is positive it says Happy Birthday and when I tell her what it really says she will disagree. She plays with it continually, and tells me it is very special to her.
Josie wanted to be in a rodeo for her birthday so we took her to the fair grounds and let her pretend to her little hearts content. She galloped for the first time by herself, not on purpose but she did excellent. She wanted to do the barrels like the girls at the rodeo, she made us open and shut the gate for her just a real show. She even had a tiny fan club.
Josie got these PJ's for her birthday and she loves them (She loves anything tacky). She insisted that she wore them to all her birthday parties, and I just let her.
Laurel couldn't make it to Josie's party so she threw her one of her own. Notice the PJ's again? Laurel had a Hawaiian Luau theme and spoiled the kids like always!

she is 4

This little girl is 4. She is a lot of personality in a little body. She is so smart, she is thoughtful, and she is very very concerned with what’s going on around her. She worries about things most kids don't even notice. She is tidy and obedient. She is bullheaded and you can't change her mind for anything. She will only wear clothes she picks out. She is very independent. She is a perfect big sister. She is really creative and loves to color, paint, and play with play dough. She loves to pretend, loves cats, and rodeos. She is not adventurous she won't do anything she isn’t totally comfortable with.  I’m trying to steer all her character in the right direction. We sure love this little noodle.
This is the classic look Josie gives people when she is not impressed.
I was telling her to put that flower down but she was Not having it.
