With a name like Trigger...

You ought to have a cowboy hat...

...and your sister will probably steal it

2 years old

"Where Daddy Go", She sticks her little hand out like that and asks where daddy is about a million times a day.
This breaks my heart a little
I took a few pictures of Josie last night. She was not cooperating, I guess that makes her a true two year old. Two years old has been so fun. She is talking more and eating better she is busy busy. She is getting SO independent and a SO defiant, it's hard for me not to laugh when she is being naughty. We love her so much!
Josie loves... her brother, her potty, sweeping the floor, playing kitchen, her baby dolls, Popsicles, pop, pizza, the 4-wheeler, the trampoline, swinging, slides, her binky and blanket, Leann, her momma, but most of all her daddy!

Guilty Mother...
Josie came running to get me yesterday while I was doing the dishes (I will bold that I was washing dishes so I don't feel so awful). She wanted me to see what she had done, she was so proud. I walked into the living room to find her baby drinking a bottle, propped up on a blanket. She clapped and I almost cried. I love that my son is so happy and easy. I love that I can prop up a bottle for him when we are trying to get ready for church (I call it multi-tasking) but I obviously do it too often, I'm glad that Josie brought it to my attention. I'm going to be better, I know he won't be little forever so I'm going to savor it. I promised myself no more bottle propping.
for my mother-
My mom always asks about Leann. Leann is so pretty, I can't believe how much she has grown up. She is busy as usual, playing volleyball and doing student council. She is a senior this year and still incredibly boy crazy. I still give her advice each time she comes up whether she wants to hear it or not. I love that she talks to me about her life. She is a good girl, a good friend, and a great aunt.
for my dad-
Here is a picture of Dean's new flat bed.
All the doors open and all the doors shut. That should really be a bonus but it is around here!

We started cereal today... he was not impressed.

While Josie ate ice cream Dean built her a swing set. It is crazy tall and probably dangerous but we love it. He is going to build a sand box around it when he is finished bailing straw, that is the part I'm most excited about. Josie loves to swing but loves to play in the sand even more!

a lady at her best...

Josie wakes up and immediately wants a Pee-Ko (Popsicle) and no matter how many you do or don't give her she continually wants one all day long. Sometimes she says it in a song or holds the O out for a really long time, but she still always wants a Pee-Ko. Some daysi don't give her any and some days she has over 20. Lately she has been wanting to go potty, probably because of the cushy seat I bought her, which she loves. Today while she was sitting on the potty she started singing pee-ko, pee-ko, peeee-kooooo. Then pointed at me and said, "Pee-ko go". I laughed; she however was very serious and pointed to me again and said again, "Pee-ko go". So I got the girl a Popsicle. She sat on the potty for at least 25 minutes and wouldn't get off. She was at the height of her glory.
Dean was laying by the boy watching a show about Water Buffalo and Josie just nestled herself right between them. I love them all!
Josie insists on feeding Trig...
until she gets board and then she drops the bottle and pushes him away.

utah

The Kids and I went to stay in Utah for a couple days. Emilee, Maddie, Ang and I went to the Weber County Fair for a while and then we took the kids swimming at North Shore. Josie and I went down that giant blue slide and she loved it, it was so funny to hear her giggle the whole way down. We had to go over and over again. Gretchen tricked me into taking her too but later I found out she was tall enough to go alone she just didn't want to; smart lady. Next we went down to visit Addy, Aly brought her kids and I'm pretty sure theyhad a good time playing with eachother... look at CJ!

Grandma Donna Earlene Kempton Josephson Richins

My Grandma passed away last week.
She had been sick and we are glad she is now free from here pain.
I love the fond memories I have with her. I remember sleeping over at her house a few times, each time she would let my cousin Heather and me wear one of her night gowns to bed, she would spray perfume on us and brush our hair.
One time she and I were visiting and she pulled out a bag a Jelly Beans she told me to dump them out on the bed so we could pick out the ones we really wanted. I poured a couple onto the bed. She took the package from me tore it all the way open and flung it across the bed. Jelly Beans went everywhere and we laughed while we ate the good ones.
...grandpa must have been too hungry to pray
I remember she and grandpa took Heather and I to Grouse Creek for a whole week. They bought us treats, took us the the general store, and let us pull out every game they had. Grandpa let me run the barrels in the 4th of July rodeo and I remember grandma cheering really loud from the stands.
I remember her taking me to McDonald's on a Sunday morning, I was so excited because my mom never took me to McDonald's so I didn't want to tell her that I was scared but I really was. I remember sitting in the back seat so nervous that my dad would find out (he was the bishop at the time) that my grandma and I had gone to a store on Sunday.
My older sisters made it a fun tradition to take all the grand kids to see grandma on Halloween each year. It was always hectic but a good time.
Grandma had a onsie made for Josie that had the number 61 on it. Josie was her 61st great grand baby. Who knows what number Trig is maybe #67?

SiCk

Josie has hand-foot & mouth. Trig has a sinus infection. There has been A LOT of crying, tylonel, and medicine around our house lately.

Caribou County Fair and Rodeo!

The fair was pretty anticlimactic this year. We went to the parade, watched the rodeo, worked in the ward food booth, and took Josie on some rides. Maybe when we let her ride a wild pony at the lil buckaroo rodeo things will be more exciting!

Lava Hot Spings

I took the kids to Lava today with some of my friends. We had a great time! I went on both of those very scary slides (the picture really doesn't do them justice). That was super brave considering I've turned into a chicken now that I have children. I'm so grateful to have fun friends and I'm so glad the children were enjoyable. Don't mind the picture of Trig crying he really was good. Josie is finally getting the hang of swimming and it's really fun.
